NCTC hosted the annual Spring Invitational on February 22nd-24th at the Oakmont Country Club in Corinth where Katy Merchant earned 2nd place individually and a third-place team finish overall.
The lady lions took third with a (+101) in a competitive field, led by Merchant who took second with a +15. Merchant's teady play throughout the tournament positioned her near the top of the leaderboard and paced the Lion's lineup. Madeline Caywood added a strong performance, finishing 11th individually at +27 while Anna Evans followed closely in 12th at +28. Sophia Lohr rounded out the scoring effort, finishing 16th at +31 to secure valuable team points.
Hosting the opening tournament provided an early opportunity for the team to set the tone for the season, and the third-place finish signals a promising start as NCTC looks ahead to the rest of the year!
Next up for lady lion golf is Bruzzy's Spring Fling in Ardmore, Oklahoma on March 1st-3rd.
Go lions!
