The lady lions competed at the annual Red River Cup Tournament hosted by Murray State University on August 29th, where rising freshman Katy Merchant came out on top.

Merchant, of Gunter High School, earned a first place finish with a score of +9. Along with Merchant, freshmen Maggie Yarbrough finished in 7th with a +26, followed by Anna Evans in 8th with a +27. Freshmen Madeline Caywood and Paige Peterson also earned top 10 finished for the lady lions.

Next up for women's golf is the Waco River Classic on September 15th and 16th!
