NCTC Softball Earns Back-to-Back Double Header Wins vs Ranger

The lady lions took four big wins in conference matchups with Ranger College on April 1st & 3rd.

Facing Ranger at home first, the lions came out strong taking game one 8-0 and game two 8-5. Standout players for game one included Kadence Lampkin who hit a triple and a double to earn 3 RBI, as well as Bailey Short who hit a homer to add an additional RBI. For game two, Miranda Serrato put on an impressive performance earning 5 RBI with two home runs and a double. Pitching efforts from Rylee Adams and Abriana Coy kept Ranger from adding to their scoreboard and brought the lady lions two big wins.

On April 3rd, the lady lions competed at Ranger College adding two more wins to their record. Final scores were 13-0 and 8-5. Serrato again had herself a day with 5 RBI in game three, along with Bailey Short and Kayla Myatt who each put up 2 RBI. Adams pitched for the lady lions yet again facing 19 batters and earning 5 strikeouts on the game. In game four, batting efforts from Serrato, Wolf, Short, and Olivia Martin combined to make up 8 runs. Carly Duggins, Abriana Coy and Rylee Adams worked together on the mound to total 8 strikeouts and keep NCTC steady to the finish.

NCTC currently sits sixth in conference with an 8-8 record and an overall record of 19-20. 

Next up for the lady lions will compete against Hill College at home on April 8th and then travel to Hill College on the 11th.
