NCTC softball splits with Cisco College both at home and away on March 18th & 21st.

On the 18th, NCTC traveled to Cisco College for a conference doubleheader, taking down the lady wranglers 7-1 to start off the day. Bailey Rameriz and Bailey Short led in RBI with 2 a piece, followed by Kayla Myatt and Abby Wolf who each added 1. Rylee Adams pitched all 7 innings for the lions, earning 4 strikeouts on the game. In game two, the lady lions battled hard but fell just short in a 5-6 nail biter.

In the matchup with the lady wranglers at home on the 21st, the lady lions fell in game one 1-3, then came back stronger to defeat Cisco in game two 9-1. In the big win, Bailey Short had a strong offensive day with 3 RBI in a home run. A combination of single RBI from Olivia Martin, Konoko Gadt, Kadence Lampkin, Abby Wolf and Lyela Nieves added to a high-scoring finish as well. On the mound, Kadence Lampkin started off the game facing 12 batters in 2 innings with 2 strikeouts. Abby Wolf finished the game facing 10 batters and earning 2 more strikeouts.
