The NCTC men's golf teed off its 2026 campaign by hosting the NCTC Spring Invitational at the Oakmont Country Club, earning an 8th place finish (+39) to start off the season.
Connor Nelson led the Lions in the season debut, finishing 29th overall at +8 after consistent rounds. Close behind, Jayden Tucknott and Max Aalto each tied for 32nd at +9, contributing key scores in the opening event. Rip Thomas added a +16 to complete the team lineup.
Serving as host for the season-opening tournament gave the Lions an early test against a competitive field. With valuable experience gained in the first event of the year, NCTC will look to build more momentum heading into the next tournament of the season- Bruzzy's Spring Fling at the Dornick Hills Golf and Country Club in Ardmore, Oklahoma. This next event will take place on March 1st-3rd.
Go lions!
