Volleyball enters round two of Conference Play

The Lady Lions are currently sitting second in the Region V North ratings as they enter round two of Conference Play. 

 

The Lion Sophomores have been key as they continue to navigate through the season. Sophomore Libero Breanna Crain has anchored the defense and remains in the top 50 nationally for total Digs and Digs Set. She tabbed player of the week honors in week 1 and continues to lead Region V on the defensive boards. The pin trio of sophomores Madison Little, Kaleigh Conger, and Kamryn Weaver continue to stabilize the offensive power and serving game. They have each had their share of double doubles that push the game to the Lion Pace. Madison Little tabbed honors the second week of confernce and moved herself into the top 100 in total points scored. Middle Blocker Jenna Hampton has emerged on multiple national leader boards remaining in the top 50 for total points scored, total blocks per set, total solo blocks and hitting percentage. The offense is run by Averi Foster, who is sitting 12th in assists per set and 6th in service aces per set. 

 

The Lions return to action tonight to face Cisco for the second time this season. The Wranglers currently sit third behind North Central Texas College. The match will take place at the Lion Fieldhouse with first serve at 6:00pm.
