Week 1 Conference Play

Week 1 Conference Play

The Lady Lions faced a grueling road schedule as they entered the tournamnet season this year. After playing three nationally ranked teams while at the Rose City Classic in Tyler, Sophomore Jenna Hampton emerged with all-tournament honors. The following weekend the team took on nationally ranked Iowa Western and Brookhaven and left the day with one win and one loss. Sophomore Jenna Hampton tabbed another all-tournament nod along side sophomore Madison Little

When the Lions returned home to play in their own NCTC Invitational, they again beat Brookhaven, and took the win over Cedar Valley and Wharton County only dropping a match to Trinity Valley. Sophomores Breanna Crain and Madison Little were named to the all-tournament team after impressive defensive performances and an all around good tournament.

Sophomore Breanna Crain was named Region V Player of the Week to close out preseason play and open conference after pushing into the top 15 nationally ranked total number of Digs.
